A few familiar questions.
What can I do with Mello for free?
Basic caffeine tracking, your complete journal, preferences, and one saved drink are free. You also get three introductory preview sessions, with as many drink and serving comparisons as you like within each session. Mello Pro adds unlimited previews and saved drinks, 7- and 30-day insights, an optional daily reminder, and Home Screen widgets.
How does Mello estimate caffeine?
Mello uses each drink’s caffeine amount and time, then applies your chosen half-life to estimate how much remains. It includes earlier drinks that may still be lingering from previous days. Your daily logged total resets at local midnight.
The calculation assumes immediate absorption. Actual caffeine amounts, absorption, and metabolism vary. Targets are personal planning preferences, not safety limits. Mello is not medical advice and cannot predict whether you will sleep well.
Does previewing a drink add it to my journal?
No. You can compare a drink now, in 30 minutes, or in an hour, and try different serving sizes without logging anything. Only log it when you actually have it.
How do I restore Mello Pro?
Make sure you’re signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase. In Mello, open Settings → Pro access and choose Restore Purchases. Connect to the internet and allow the purchase check to finish. If access still doesn’t appear, email us with what you see on screen.
How do I cancel a subscription or request a refund?
On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Mello to manage or cancel your monthly subscription. Deleting Mello does not cancel a subscription. A lifetime purchase has no recurring renewal.

Where is my data, and how do I delete it?
Your drink journal, saved drinks, and preferences live on your iPhone. Mello has no account or cloud sync. Swipe left on an entry in Journal to delete it, or remove a saved drink from Settings → My drinks.
Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading it keeps that data. Device backups are managed separately through Apple and may contain app data. Read the privacy policy for details about widgets, purchases, and support messages.
Why isn’t my reminder or widget updating?
These features require Mello Pro. For reminders, check Settings → Evening reminder in Mello, then check that notifications are allowed in your iPhone’s Settings → Notifications → Mello. Focus and notification settings can affect when you see a reminder.
For widgets, open Mello to refresh its data and verify Pro access. Widget snapshots expire after 24 hours, and iOS decides when to refresh the Home Screen. The widget may ask you to open the app again.
Which devices does Mello support?
Mello is designed for iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Drink tracking and calculations work on your device. An internet connection is needed for purchases, restoring purchases, and some checks of Pro access.
