Mello is a companion for your routine. Its caffeine estimates support personal planning, not medical decisions. Your purchases are handled by Apple, and your consumer rights always apply.
Using Mello
Mello is an iPhone app provided by Harry Zachariou (“we”, “us”) to help you log drinks and explore estimates of caffeine remaining. These terms describe your use of Mello and this website. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
The app is licensed, not sold. Your licence to the iOS app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement. These terms provide additional information about Mello’s service and purchases and do not replace Apple’s licence or any mandatory consumer rights.
Estimates, not medical advice
Mello uses a simplified half-life calculation based on the caffeine amounts and times you enter. It assumes immediate absorption. Preset drink amounts are approximate, and actual caffeine content and metabolism vary with preparation, serving size, your body, medication, and other factors.
The app does not measure caffeine in your body, diagnose or treat a condition, or guarantee sleep quality. Daily and bedtime targets are personal planning preferences, not recommended allowances or safety thresholds. Do not use Mello to decide whether caffeine is medically safe for you.
Ask a qualified healthcare professional for advice about your individual caffeine intake, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, sensitive to caffeine, or managing a health condition.
Free features and Mello Pro
Basic tracking, your full journal, preferences, and one saved drink are free. Three introductory preview sessions are included; each session allows multiple drink and serving comparisons.
Mello Pro adds unlimited preview sessions and saved drinks, insights for 7 or 30 completed days, an optional daily reminder, and Home Screen widgets. Pro is offered as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. “Lifetime” refers to the Pro access offered for Mello as a one-time purchase; it is not a promise that every future product or separate service will be included.
Features and system requirements may evolve. We will respect existing purchase rights and provide notices or remedies where required by applicable law.
Payments and subscriptions
Purchases are made through the App Store and charged to your Apple Account. The purchase screen displays the applicable price, currency, billing period, and any offer terms before you confirm. A monthly subscription renews automatically unless cancelled under the terms shown by Apple. A lifetime purchase is a single payment with no recurring renewal.
Manage or cancel a subscription in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Mello. Cancellation stops future renewals; access ordinarily continues until the end of the paid period. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription.
Apple handles billing and refund requests. Use reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund. Eligibility is determined under Apple’s policies and applicable law. You can restore eligible purchases from Settings → Pro access → Restore Purchases in Mello, using the Apple Account that made the purchase.
Your data and device
Your drink journal, saved drinks, and preferences are stored on your device. Mello does not offer an account or cloud sync. You are responsible for your device and any backups you choose to maintain. Deleting the app can remove local data; we cannot recover a journal we do not hold.
Purchases and Pro verification require access to Apple and Superwall services. Notifications and widget updates depend on device permissions and iOS scheduling. See our privacy policy for information about these services and your data.
Responsible use
Use Mello lawfully and do not interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass purchase verification, or distribute the app or its artwork without permission. Nothing in these terms restricts uses, interoperability, or other activities that applicable law expressly permits. Mello’s name, artwork, and software remain the property of their respective owners.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep Mello useful and reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free calculations, or compatibility with every future device or operating-system release. Mello is a personal planning tool; you remain responsible for the information you enter and decisions you make.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate inputs, use contrary to these terms, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Changes and contact
We may revise these terms as the app evolves. The latest version and revision date will appear on this page, and we will provide additional notice where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you already have under applicable law.
